Beschuit met roze muisjes voor Katy Perry en Orlando Bloom: het koppel is de trotse ouders geworden van een dochter.

Dat lieten zij weten via het Instagram-account van UNICEF.

“We zweven van liefde en verwondering over de veilige en gezonde komst van onze dochter”, aldus het stel. Haar naam? Daisy Dove Bloom. Eerder dit jaar bracht Katy nog een single uit die Daisies heet.

Katy en Orlando zijn allebei ambassadeur van UNICEF en grijpen het moment aan om aandacht te vragen voor de levens van baby’s die op het spel staan door een gebrek aan medisch personeel in bepaalde delen van de wereld. “We weten dat we geluk hebben en dat niet iedereen een zo vredige bevalling kan meemaken.”

Relatie

Katy (35) en Orlando (43) zijn sinds 2016 samen. Vorig jaar verloofen zij zich. Eerder had Orlando een relatie met Miranda Kerr, met wie hij zoontje Flynn (9) kreeg.
