1. Kleed je huis naar het seizoen

Kussenslopen, vloerkleden en gordijnen kun je net als je kleding meeveranderen met het seizoen. Kies komende lente voor lichtere kleuren en stoffen. Gordijnen of kussenslopen die je nu weghaalt, kun je bewaren voor de volgende winter.

2. Haal meer groen in huis

Kamerplanten geven je huis meer sfeer. Heb je geen groene vingers of geen tijd voor planten? Kies voor een neppe variant. Tegenwoordig worden deze steeds mooier gemaakt.

3. Verberg kabels

Rondslingerende kabels staan niet zo fraai. Haal ze eens goed uit de knoop en organiseer de kabels opnieuw. Misschien kun je ze verbergen in kabelgootjes of samenbinden. Als je kabels slim verbergt, is het direct makkelijker schoonmaken. Zeg maar dag tegen die proppen stof die zich rondom de kabels verzamelen.

Morning everyone and welcome to new followers. I don’t know how you all found me, but it’s lovely to have you. I thought we’d continue with the mini bathroom room tour today. This is the alcove at the end of the bath/fireplace (see previous post). The other has the loo in – cunningly hidden by the angle of the last picture. The door is on the wall to the left of the shot. We used foxed, or antique, mirror tiles on the wall as too much modern mirror looks like a gym I always think – they were from antiquedmirror.com. The chair came from a junk shop at the end of the road, the plant stand from my mother’s house. The walls, I’m saying it here to avoid 57 questions, are Down Pipe by @farrowandball. Right Monday let’s do this. The 14yo set his alarm for 6.30am so he could get up and tidy his room (to guffaws from the 16yo). Needless to say when I went in 20 minutes later he was fast asleep and the phone was on the floor, presumably having been hurled there in shock. The 16yo asked me to wake him at 7am so he could get up and revise for mocks. Nothing so far. So let’s see if I can pull off what I promise: a full day’s work at my desk for the first full Monday of the year.
